Assistant’s fundamentals

Montessori Assistant Fundamentals Training

Automatic 6 hours of PDIS approved professional development

The assistant’s training intensive workshop is a comprehensive, condensed, highly applicable course to train adults in support roles in Montessori environments. Participants will gain knowledge, share experiences, and build skills to effectively support children and adults in their classrooms. This course provides an option for an in-person visit at the participants school environment to provide further support and strategy implementation.

Cultural Sensitivity

Automatic 3 hours of PDIS approved professional development

In this 3 hour workshop, we cover the importance of being culturally aware from an ABAR and DEI lens. Topics will include: implicit bias, race, gender and identity, intersectionality, family dynamics and everything in between. Attendees will learn about the latest research and process for becoming an aware adult in today’s ever evolving quest for equity, inclusion, and social justice. There will be activities, reflections and robust conversation to provide practical applications in the classroom and community.

About Deb

Deb is a passionate Montessori coach and consultant in Denver, CO. She brings over 25 years of experience in Montessori Education with a background in Psychology and Sociology from Emory University. She is American Montessori Society certified at the Primary level and is currently training new generations of Montessori educators at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies. Deb is a seasoned field consultant, MACTE verifier, and instructor. She loves to support teachers, families, and schools by creating a deeper understanding of Montessori principles and how they apply to everyday life. The words that guide her in her work are connect, support, and inspire.
